Overview
The Tag Applied Trigger in Groundhogg enables you to start a flow when specific tags are applied to a contact. This trigger is ideal for automating actions based on contact segmentation or behavior indicated by tag assignments.

When to Use
Use the Tag Applied Trigger when you want to:
- Create dynamic workflows based on contact behavior or segmentation.
- Initiate flows based on specific tags being applied to contacts.
- Automate follow-up actions, such as sending targeted emails or updating contact data, when tags are added.
- Track conversion metrics for flows in reports.
How It Works
The Tag Applied Trigger activates a flow when the specified tags are applied to a contact, either individually (Any) or collectively (All). Once triggered, the flow executes its configured actions, such as sending emails or adding additional tags. Conversion tracking is available for flow performance analysis.

Setup Instructions
- Drag and drop the “Tag Applied” Trigger into the flow editor on the left side.
- Configure the settings:
- Run when: Select whether the flow triggers when Any or All of the specified tags are applied.
- Tags: Enter the tags that will trigger the flow.
- Save the settings to activate the Trigger.
Example Use Case
An online course provider uses the Tag Applied Trigger to automate enrollment follow-ups. When a contact is tagged as “Enrolled” after signing up for a course, the trigger starts a flow that sends a welcome email, adds the contact to a course-specific email sequence, and notifies the instructor. This ensures a seamless onboarding experience for new students.
